I beleive I have tried everything to no avail. If the subwoofer's 'Line In' uses RCA cables (and if the subwoofer out on the receiver/amplifier also uses RCA), simply plug in using an RCA cable. Well Denon did replace the unit however it took 3 weeks to get a new one. During this process I took the opportunity to upgrade to the 4520 and I am happy I did. But I would use them both that and the remote at the same seating, and the app doesn't do anything the remote doesn't do. Audyssey does not detect it either. Did you check to see if the tuner works as a source in zone 2, that way you'll know if its possibly just a digital input assignment problem or something more....remember that depending on how you have them configured, if you have both digital and analog connections for many components, the digital input automatically takes priority... ceenly8 - Thanks, so it is definitely something I am doing incorrectly. When no subwoofer audio signal (LFE) is included in the input signals, no sound may be output from the subwoofer. A forum community dedicated to home theater owners and enthusiasts. with the subwoofer powered on, remove the RCA plug connected to the Denon; there should be a static, clicking like sound heard from the subwoofer; with the subwoofer's volume raised a bit, lightly touch the tip of the RCA plug that was removed from the Denon; the subwoofer should produce a thump when first touched and then a hum as long as touched.
